Fairthorne Farm has extra large foaling stalls with video monitoring capability.  The farm has been the location of successful foaling and early rearing of numerous horses including racehorse Smarty Jones, who was born on the farm in 2001 and was raised on the farm until he entered training as a yearling.  Come foal with us.  Who knows, your foal may be influenced by "smarty magic" as it runs and plays in our hillside pastures just like Smarty did.
HORSES, BOARDING, & FOALING
Fairthorne Farm has 96-acres of fenced pasture composed of a balanced blend of grasses for grazing with large run-in sheds and automatic waterers.
The barn accommodates horses for boarding and foaling with automatic waterers, and has a heated wash stall as well as a heated tack room.
The barn facilities are soon to be expanded to include up to 25 additional stalls and an indoor riding arena to permit year- round riding, training, and polo.

Fairthorne Farm offers both full and field boarding for horses. The farm has numerous trails for riding on the property, and pass-through permission on neighboring farms permitting ride-through access to the Fair Hill Natural Resources and Equestrian areas,  which can also be conveniently accessed via a short trailer ride.

Boarding rates are competitive and the farm offers work to board options for those looking for more affordable boarding opportunities. All individuals seeking work to board or work to ride options must apply and be required to undergo an interview and assessment of their riding capabilities.
